Sloe Gin Evening December 21st

Join the Sloe Gin Society at the Thatched Tavern from 6pm.  No subs are required. Turn up with your bottle of sloe gin to be judged.

Christmas Carol Singalong, Friday December 19th 7pm

This is the fourth running of the Thatched Tavern Christmas Carol Singalong and ALL are welcome. For those unfamiliar with the format, song/carol sheets are provided and there will be Advent calendar prizes.

Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning, September 27th

Doug Palmer will be hosting his fourth event for Macmillan Cancer Support since he moved to Maidencombe.Doug would like to invite everyone who can make it to come to his house at Sladnor Park. Off Grid Festival August 14th – 17th

The Off Grid Festival is a unique opportunity to meet and learn from the UK’s most progressive thinkers and practical activists in the fields of sustainable building, energy, growing food and healing. The Festival will take place at Thoulstone Park, a wonderful new 150 acre venue near Frome in Wiltshire.
Members from the Maidencombe Community Group will be attending the Festival. We are also planning to organise a one day car share event for Sunday 17th. Please get in contact if you are interested at info@maidencombeunity.org

Quest Festival – July 24 – 27

The Quest Festival, now in its 19th year, takes place from Thursday 24th until Sunday 27th July at Newton Abbot Racecourse. The Quest Natural Healing Show is a mix of Natural Health Show and Healing Festival. It has workshops, trade stands, children’s activities and lunchtime and evening music performances. Parzival at Sharpham House – July 15-20

Sharpham Trust is developing an exciting new outdoor performance based on PARZIVAL’s quest for the HOLY GRAIL. Funded by Arts Council England, the performance will take place in the grounds of the beautiful Sharpham House near Totnes from July 15th. It looks set to be an extraordinary blend of theatre, storytelling, poetry and music. They are seeking volunteers to help support the running and stewarding of the show. Roles will include box office, parking, general stewarding and audience management. For more details, click here:

Sharpham Open Day Reminder – June 29

Sharpham Trust Open Day 2014 – June 28 & 29

Bringing together wildlife, sustainability, food and outdoor events, the Sharpham Trust is a fantastic day out. A car-sharing convoy will be going from Maidencombe to the South Hams on one of the days (to be confirmed). Tree planting day!
