22:20 Saturday 14th July, I was driving back towards Maidencombe when I spotted a cow walking along the hedge on the main coast road by Labrador Bay Car Park. It was facing oncoming traffic like any sensible hiker would. I drove a short distance to turn around, so I could warn other motorists and call the police. But unfortunately, by the time I got back to the cow, a vehicle had hit it. The driver of the car was unhurt, but the poor cow was in some distress and would probably have had to be put down. the damaged vehicle was collected from Labrador Bay Car Park this morning.
